Well I met my deadline for the Horticultural Society of New York’s annual exibition by just choosing to finish. It seems I’ve been working on this all winter but now I really need to be looking at Spring things! I hope it will be accepted but since it is my first attempt I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t get in. It was an accomplishment to get it done, figure out the photography and file saving and hit that send button. I feel like I’ve broken the ice now.

Oak Leaf hydrangea in fall
Just incredible! Mentally saving for future inspiration. 🙂

This is beautiful Susan, and I love your composition. The bracts remain delicate and even the development of the leaves are shown through colour and size. How you managed to get so many stages at once is really interesting and contributes a lot to the picture.

Beautiful, subtle colors and lots of detail. I don’t have the patience for that kind of detail any more.
