“THE UNDRESSED ART” why we draw

Wanted to share a really terrific little book by Peter Steinhart which I mention in my artist statement.  Anyone who has sat in front of a model, object or landscape with the intent to capture it on paper will find something of value in this book.  It is humorous and insightful and I fully intend to reread it.  If you click the image it will take you to a book review on the Newington-Cropsey Cultural Studies Center web site which, by the way, is also worth perusing.  I feel a little guilty spending time on this type of thing but I do think it is important to feed the soul and fill the inspirational hopper.
